Ella Zelichonok

Vice President, Software Development

Ella is the Vice President of Software Development at NAXION. In this capacity, she oversees the design and development of many of the firm’s advanced interviewing and analytic applications.

Ella has a dual master’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Drexel University and has a particularly strong background in converting complex mathematical algorithms into efficient software. Since joining NAXION in 1993, Ella has been instrumental in the development and application of innovative and complex software applications for numerous clients. These projects include computerized data collection tools, product preference simulators, profit optimization models, interactive data analysis systems, and “smart” name- and address-matching algorithms using advanced artificial intelligence methods.

Ella is the author and sole developer of NA-Quest℠, NAXION’s proprietary software for interactive computerized interviewing. Unlike many other interviewing software packages, NA-Quest℠ is designed to handle complicated calculations, grids, and visuals that allow for advanced lines of questioning, such as conjoint and discrete choice exercises.

Prior to her current position, Ella was a Senior Statistical Programmer. In this capacity she was responsible for programming and implementing advanced statistical applications, manipulating large customer databases, and designing complex weighting plans.

Ella is proficient in several programming and statistical languages, including C/C++, Visual BASIC, SAS, FORTRAN, PASCAL, and MS Excel.

Ella’s dedication and commitment to each job is evident in all of her work. Her professional excellence was recognized when she was awarded NAXION’s Time to Shine Award for 1994.
